The 2026 Grand Chess Tour Super Rapid & Blitz Croatia features a deep field of elite grandmasters where no single player holds a decisive edge in the combined rapid and blitz format. Anish Giri leads the market at 36% implied probability, narrowly ahead of Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu and Nodirbek Abdusattorov, reflecting their consistent recent results in speed events and strong classical form heading into the June 29–July 6 stop in Zagreb. Multiple contenders including Alireza Firouzja, Gukesh Dommaraju, and Vincent Keymer sit within a tight cluster, underscoring comparable ratings, head-to-head records, and momentum from prior legs like the Poland event. This balance of experience, preparation depth, and the high variance inherent to rapid and blitz keeps the race open among the top seeds.
