Aaron Judge leads trader consensus in the MLB intentional walks market due to his established power profile and history of drawing high volumes of intentional passes as a middle-of-the-order threat, though early 2026 numbers show Yordan Alvarez and James Wood ahead on the season tally. Shohei Ohtani, Juan Soto, and Alvarez sit close behind, reflecting their elite slugging ability and lineup protection that forces opposing managers into frequent free passes when runners are in scoring position. Young power bats like Nick Kurtz add further competition, while Mike Trout and others remain viable based on matchup-specific usage and rest-of-season playing time. The tight spread among the top five outcomes underscores the unpredictable nature of late-season IBB distributions across contending clubs.
