Los Angeles Thieves enter this Best-of-5 Stage 4 Major Qualifiers matchup with a clear edge in recent head-to-head results, having defeated Cloud9 New York in their last three encounters, often in dominant fashion on maps like Hardpoint and Search & Destroy. Both teams compete in the ongoing online qualifier phase that determines seeding for the offline Major IV in late June, where CDL points and momentum matter for playoff positioning. Thieves have shown stronger map control and consistency across the 2026 season, while C9 New York has struggled with roster stability and execution in high-stakes series. Factors such as recent form, veto patterns, and any last-minute roster or coaching adjustments could influence the outcome in this closely watched league fixture.
