Chen Yi enters this WTT Contender Women's Singles clash as the higher-ranked player at approximately world No. 6, with the 21-year-old Chinese athlete showing strong recent form highlighted by a 3-2 upset over Miwa Harimoto and consistent deep runs in prior WTT events. South Korea's Eun-Hye Lee, ranked in the mid-30s to low-40s at age 31, offers veteran experience and competitive results in regional and Contender-level play but has faced tougher opposition in higher-tier stops like WTT Champions Chongqing. Key variables include Chen's shakehand attacking style and serve pressure against Lee's penhold or counter-focused approach, along with any short-notice adjustments in a potentially fast-paced singles format.
