Argentina’s status as defending champions and CONMEBOL qualifiers leaders under Lionel Scaloni positions them as the clear Group J frontrunner, with their depth, recent international form, and star attacking options driving the 73.5% implied probability. Austria’s 18.5% reflects their return after a long absence and structured play, while Algeria’s 8.3% stems from their first appearance since 2014 and attacking threats despite limited recent global exposure. Jordan trails at 1.2% as first-time qualifiers coming off a strong campaign but facing a steep step up in competition. The June 16 opener against Algeria and subsequent fixtures against Austria and Jordan set the stage for Argentina to control the group.
