Dusan Lajovic holds the experience edge over Gonzalo Bueno in their first-round Perugia Challenger matchup on outdoor red clay. The 35-year-old Serbian veteran, ranked 137, brings a deeper clay-court resume and multiple ATP titles despite a modest 2026 record of 2-5, while the 22-year-old Peruvian at 183 seeks consistency after reaching Roland Garros qualifying and posting a mixed recent slate. With no prior head-to-head history, traders weigh Lajovic’s tactical maturity and European clay familiarity against Bueno’s youth and upside on the surface. Schedule position, physical freshness after recent travel, and any last-minute injury updates could still influence the outcome in this closely watched opener.
