Recent polls show the Parti Québécois and Quebec Liberal Party locked in a tight popular vote contest near 30 percent each ahead of the October 5, 2026, election, while the Coalition Avenir Québec has climbed to around 20 percent under its new leader following François Legault’s January resignation. Traders assign the Parti Québécois a 57.5 percent probability of winning the most seats, reflecting its stronger concentration of support among Francophone voters and projections from models like 338Canada that translate modest popular vote edges into large seat advantages. The Liberals sit at 27.5 percent amid competitive urban strength, the CAQ at 16.5 percent after recent gains, and minor parties remain below 1 percent with limited prospects. The race remains sensitive to campaign developments and regional turnout patterns over the next four months.
