The runoff between Alfonso Scoppa and Pasquale Mauri for Angri mayor remains closely contested after the May 24-25 first round, where Scoppa secured 40.4% and Mauri 31.3% without either reaching an absolute majority, triggering the June 7-8 ballot. Local civic coalitions, voter turnout patterns in the second round, and the candidates' family connection as uncle and nephew continue to shape sentiment, keeping implied probabilities nearly even. Recent campaign positioning on municipal services and administrative transparency has not yet produced a decisive shift, leaving the outcome sensitive to last-minute mobilization and any late endorsements from eliminated lists.
