Incumbent Brad Sherman holds a significant fundraising and name-recognition advantage in California's 32nd congressional district top-two primary scheduled for June 2, 2026, while facing a field that includes Jake Levine and several other Democratic challengers. The district's strong Democratic lean and Sherman's long tenure as representative shape the contest, with Levine positioning himself as a younger alternative focused on climate and energy policy. California's nonpartisan top-two system means the two highest vote-getters advance to the November general election regardless of party, and recent campaign finance reports show Sherman and Levine far outpacing other candidates in receipts. No other major developments have altered the race dynamics in the past month.
