Iván Cepeda Castro holds a commanding position in this Bogotá-specific market due to his status as a native of the capital and the Historic Pact's longstanding dominance among urban voters there. Preliminary first-round results from the May 31 election confirm his narrow but decisive lead in the district, consistent with patterns seen in prior cycles where left-leaning coalitions outperform rivals in the city. Other listed contenders, including former Bogotá mayor Claudia López and various national figures, trail far behind in local tallies. While final certified counts or any procedural challenges could theoretically alter the outcome before market resolution, the scale of the reported margin makes a reversal highly improbable under standard electoral procedures.
