Paul St-Pierre Plamondon leads trader consensus at 59.5 percent as leader of the Parti Québécois, which holds a narrow edge in recent polls ahead of the October 5, 2026, general election. Christine Fréchette, who became Coalition Avenir Québec leader and premier in April 2026 following François Legault’s resignation, sits at 20 percent amid efforts to stabilize her party’s standing. Charles Milliard, the Quebec Liberal Party leader, holds 15 percent as that party remains competitive but trails in most surveys. These positions reflect current polling trends, recent leadership transitions within the CAQ and Liberals, and the PQ’s stronger position among francophone voters in the multi-party contest.
